Last year, the Department announced the establishment of the Mason Graduate Fellowship. The Faculty have decided that this fellowship will fund a senior graduate student in the department for leadership “above and beyond” the normal call of duty. The fellowship will be for one academic year (3 quarters).

The faculty have decided that this year’s fellow is Wes Michaels who will receive the fellowship for the 2019-2020 Academic year.  They want to recognize Wes’ dedication and efforts to the department and for serving the graduate student community as a part of the Action Committee – beginning in his very first year as a PhD student and now serving on the GSAC Executive Board as the Vice President as well as being a crucial part of the department’s PhD recruitment efforts. They recognize his consistent contributions and tireless efforts in his service as a leader in our ChemE community. He is truly deserving.
Wes will presented the fellowship by the donor of the Mason Fund at the Mason Lecture banquet.
