The ChemE GSAC professional development committee offers a variety of resources, programming, and events in collaboration with the Futures in Engineering Program and BEAM.

Futures in Engineering, what is that? The Futures in Engineering program is an Industrial Affiliates program designed to provide better connections between companies and our faculty and students in the Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering departments. Send your resume to Floyd McClung (fmcclung@stanford.edu). (See below for help creating your resume!)

What is BEAM? BEAM (Bridging Education, Ambition & Meaningful Work) is the student career education hub at Stanford University. Career Educators at BEAM connect students with the people and knowledge needed to help them explore career paths, identify and apply for opportunities, and cultivate personalized networks that shape their professional journey.

To connect with employers, apply to jobs/internships, browse events and make an appointment with a career coach, visit Handshake. More targeted job/internships are also sent directly to the department and cataloged by the Futures in Engineering program.

Resume? LinkedIn? Cover letter? If you need help with any of these, check out the helpful guide from BEAM below.
